Well no where in the Constitution does it say that religion and the state must be separate. It says that the government will not establish a religion. Meaning it will not show favoritism for one over another. The reason America was created was due to a split in Christianity. Some believed one way and others another way. Even England has a state sponsored religion, The Church of England. They wanted people to feel free to worship the way they felt was best. So the government could not say that America is a Catholic nation or a Baptist nation. I do not see why we could not say that Christianity is the religion of America, as long as we do not declare one group or denomination over another. Also as long as we permit other citizens to practice what ever religion they like, and do not make them a second cl group. Other than that I think we should say America is a Christian nation and our founding faith was and is that of Christianity.

Even as I write, another species has perished. It is true that it seems cruel to impound animals but zoos have made major changes over the last 50 years and provided the animals with a safe habitat to insure their continued existence. The panda was declining rapidly in numbers until China got the message that this unique animal was on the verge of extinction...but today (in spite of them being confined) the population has increased. Some turtles have become extinct because of human encroachment in their habitat. Is it fair to say that a healthy animal in a zoo is better than a dead turtle. There is a great deal of zoo work going on , that most people know little about, exchanges of breeding stock, superb medical care for the animals, diets that insure proper nutrition, and scientists that often risk their own lives trying to keep them alive. Think about the destruction of rainforests, even National Geographic would have difficulty photographing an animal if it no longer existed. Man is greedy and is taking over the habitats...we would like to keep the pigmy owls, pup-fish and the magnificent Bengal tiger in the wild...but the wild is being paved or turned into Condos.

Here's my situation, i'm 16 right now and i have a medical card that covers everything with no copays or anything that will run out when i turn 19. I have a disease in my eye that I have been dealing with for about the past 8 years, a little over a year ago i had a cornea transplant, and am about to have a cataract removed. i take right at $1000 dollars of perscription medicine a month, (600 of it from my eye problems) i go to a family eye doctor once a month, a specialist once a month and a the doctor that done my surgery once a month. they are very strategic, one is out of state, the other is an hour and a half away. my point is these are very expensive places. with the cornea transplant the odds are against me that the graph can be rejected and i'll have to have another transplant. with this comes a new line of specialists for different problems that i am just now starting to get away from. i am on an eyedrop four times daily that i will be on tthe rest of my life costing a little over 100 dollars a bottle. the point is that i am in a low income family and my career plan is that i really want to be a beautician - which kinda sucks for me due to the fact that there are no benefits especially what i would need. i dont want to live in debt to doctors my whole life and i really dont want to chose a career that i would be in school forever especially when its not really even what i want to do. which is be a beautician. well sorry its long and complicated...and weird but any advice other than i'm screwed.???

i've heard many examples of this. positive affirmations, programmed water, and many more ("what the bleep do we know?: down the rabbit hole" on youtube). I've actually had a couple incedents where i could control something very simple just by willing it to happen. I saw someone sitting on the edge of a stage as i was waiting to get my yearbook pic done, she was very engrossed in talking to someone and not knowing that i was urging her to swing her legs. Everytime i urged her to swing one, it did... immediately. when i urged her to stop, it did... again immediately. i also told a friend about it, and we both looked at someone who was picking up an orange, and it spewed out juice in his face when he squeezed it. I looked at my friend who was very suprised and said to me that that's what he urged to happen (i also was urging it too). It seems the more people who urge for something to happen, the more likely it will happen.i also told my sister (who made fun of me, calling it "mind control" hahaha which its not, you cant control an oranges mind!). Recently, my supervisor asked me to arrive to work around 11:45pm instead of my usual 11:55 because sometimes I have been late and wants to make it "nice" but does this really warrant me coming to work 15 minutes early? 6 months ago I replaced the front tires. the left side tire shows inside wear, right side shows outside wear. During left turn I hear a clunking sound at the end of the turn. At highway speeds it shimmies.Past maintainance on the vehicle has been poor(none). Apon inspection the pitman arm and steering rods appear to have excessive play (over extended). On our recent home appraisal there were several inaccuracies, what can I do to get them corrected?

I live in florida and our recent appraisal came back way lower than the recent appraisals of several other homesin my subdivision even though our home has many upgrades the others do not have- my hubby is the project manager so I know the details of most of the homes built here. As a Software Engineer, I can answer this question for you. You would want to most likely seek a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering. You can get these jobs as maybe a Math major with programming experience but for the best chances, the 3 I just named are what you would want to go into. Starting salary would typically be $50-55+. I am not sure what the mid-career salary would be. Yet you do have the potential of make 6 figures without becoming a manager. I work side-by-side with people who do. A degree in computers now-a-days is a very good and usual thing. There are endless amounts of jobs for computer savy people.

When you're watching a movie about a certain time period, and the people aren't even dressed appropriately for that time? For example...I was watching "Absolutely Maybe." I was having a fabulous day, went to fair and took a great bunch of horse pix. Haven't been to fair in a few years and was so excited to be able to go and walk as I have been in a wheelchair or disabled for so long now. Then I came home and found my 2 year old filly staggering around, completely dead to the world. An hour later, she was humanely euthanized. Possibly West Nile Virus. She had bloodwork done for testing. She will be buried here on the farm. I only grill pork chops, but if you don't have a grill saute will be good too. Chop up the onions and caramelize them (cook on low for a really long time until they are browned, not translucent). Remove onions and add chops, after the chops are done de-glaze the pan with a little of your marsala wine. Does anyone else have coordination issues?

I am 19 done karate for 11 years now I am a ni dan and am as uncoordinated as can be- nobody believes me when I say it. Its the same in other activities that require coordination, Sometimes it amazes me that I can walk and chew gum at the same time-LOL. I have had to work extremely hard to get where I am.I always feel like a fool when we are trying to work on something advanced during cl I know exactly what to do, how to do it, I can explain it but I just don't know how to make my body move in the way I want and often mess up on basic techniques which I know how to do. Same thing when I learn a new move I just can't do it everyone else is able to do a pable first attempt as in its is an effective technique but needs to be refined while I will have this horribly sh*tty looking thing. I can look at a technique or a series of techniques in kata and instantly know and see what the move is doing how it would be used for self defense but then won't actually be able to do it with a partner for a long time. Learning a new kata sucks I always look like I am not trying I will struggle with the first couple of moves in a kata and not catch on till a week later that they are the same opening moves in another kata that I know. Sparring everyone tells me I have good strategy, even good combinations but I just can't move- I have been doing footwork drills just quarter stepping, half stepping, whole stepping, peeling off for years- sometimes for whole cl periods I can do the drills just fine- but am just hopeless... I pretty much learn through muscle memory its one of those things if it takes someone in my cl 1000 reps to be able to do an effective technique then it would take me 4000 reps. When we do partner drills and am paired up with a lower ranking student sometimes even a green belt they will have to help me just figure out how to get my body to move. My body can move in anyway I want I am hyper flexible and sometimes I get my body to to do things that are almost impossible. I did a kick once a couple years ago and everyone freaked out because a normal person would have blown out their knee- but still was a very effective kick and I had no damage and didn't know how exactly I made my body do that. Anyone ever have similar issues?

Mixing makeup products??

Sooo im in a dilemma. Ive been taking Retin-A-micro and clindamyacin for acne and its helped A TON! i still have red marks, maybe scars? from past zits (even though I feel they're not scars and they're just zits or clogged deep deep down). Anyways, has anyone ever used the L'bri product line? I feel like im using too many different products from different makers on my face. I wash with Cetaphil (i wont change cuz the derm. told me to use that and its worked), I have estee lauder foundation that i sometimes use otherwise just Neutrogena mineral powder, then I've been using the L'bri moisturizer cuz its all aloe/natural based or sometimes Clinique's moisturizing lotion...is it best to stick with one line of products? I dont want to do a 3-step with any product just because the derm. advised against it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Maybe your trying to hard! Take a more natural approach to friendship. Find people you have common interests in by joining a club or at work or in a sport but don't be so anxious to have a friend. Instead of sitting around with your bf and his friends get a hobby, or go to gym or something and make an effort to be cheerful and friendly you maybe surprised where you find friends. Evening Primrose Oil for starting labor?

Has anyone ever used this during pregnancy to jumpstart labor and for swelling and high blood pressure. We are trying natural remedies for starting labor since I am at risk for developing Preeclampsia and then having to induce. I have gained 7 lbs due to water retention and swelling is out of control. I don't want to induce because I've heard labor is harder and could lead to needing a C-Section. Are these good names for characters? (frm book im writing:D)?

When I write, I try to consider (like you) what the names mean. In other words, I wouldn't name a character "Susie" or "John" unless they was a good reason. Naming characters is kind of difficult. I usually decide to use the first name that comes to mind when I'm writing for a certain character. I did notice that one surname is "Eau", water in French. That's really interesting because water might be a symbol in your story (or maybe it's not. I'm an English major, so I'm used to over-zing. ;) ) If this character is important enough for the story, try to develop a reason behind why his last name means water. Oh, it's interesting that the shy girl has such a unique name. I always think of shy kids as having "plain Jane" names, but yours is so unique! Maybe she's shy because she feels like her surname is a conversation starter (and she doesn't want to talk or gets bullied because of it.) Maybe I read too far into it. ;) But good luck! I took a dynamo flashlight apart, it used a permanent magnet motor as a generator. The hand crank had 3 rows of gears to increase the crank speed to the armature shaft. A bridge rectifier is used to allow the crank to be turned either clockwise or counterclockwise and still charge the metal hydride battery. A voltage regulator is used to prevent overcharging the battery. The brushes in the dynamo are what will fail. They are cleverly designed to be made cheap. Even if the dynamo were made better the battery would be the limiting element. They can only be recharged so many times. There is nothing in the design of the one I took apart that has any overcharge protection.

How to get my 12 week old baby to stay asleep!?

My beautiful little girl will be 12 weeks old on Sunday. She is suffering from colic and tends to have crying spells in the evening. My problem is that when I do eventually settle her, as soon as I put her in her cot she wakes up again, This is any time of the day. She seems to jerk and twitch a lot in her sleep which wakes her up. The only way I can get her to sleep for a long period of time is held closely against my chest. I don't mind this so much during the day but obviously it's not practical at night. Any ideas as to what may help and what may be causing the jerking? I have tried swaddling her but she always manages to wriggle herself free! Thanks.

I think you should leave your name as it is. It just seems disrespectful to change your name. Instead, why don't you just use your middle name and from now on introduce yourself as Charles, only include your first name in your signature on legal doents. OR, you could just use a "P. Charles...." as your signature. This way you can save your identity. For the people who know you as Pearce, ask them to refer to you as Charles from now on. By the way, I like the name Pearce.

This man has done nothing good for the NBA. He has fixed games, drafts, and allowed illegal trades. He has ruined basketball. The poor deaf guy has been in pain for 2 entire days while they look for an intepreter - that's REALLY NOT FUNNY! is the punch line. it's more of a funny story about a communication breakdown than a joke with a real "punch line" per se. The joke is in the signs. The signs "Funny" and "Zero" which he wrote a literal transcription of to the Dr. in combination can mean "This is a very serious situation" or "This isn't funny at all".

93 buick lesabre stalls at stop light read for me info?

Alright so I a while ago I was having some problems with the car bucking when it shifted gears then it went away (college student so no money to spend on my car). So just today I was driving for about 30min and I stopped at a red light the check engine light turned on and then the engine shut off.. No shudder just stopped. The funny thing is that I was able to start the car back up and when I was driving the check engine light shut off. It was only when I wasn't accelerating (pushing on the gas because the car stalled going down a hill) and idling that the car shut off on me. One of my friends looked at the car and said that it might have a cracked header.. Does anyone have any suggestions? I could try taking the alternator but would a cracked header loose that much pressure for the engine to stall like that? Any ideas on what I can try first that is cheap (can get the alternator at a parts yard but have never changed a header)... I know with something like this it can be a shoot and miss but I really wana have it crap out on me in the middle of the road anymore...

Why do i feel so dead?

i feel like nothing matters or has a point to it. I really hate how nobody likes me and i have no friends and everybody else does and is always hanging out with people or texting them or something. I always feel so lonely and deserted because nobody ever wants anything to do with me. I was really depressed for about two months and stuff, i self-harmed a little to block out all the pain and i almost killed myself. But those feeling went away about a week ago and now i feel numb. Its happened before ill go and feel numb for 2 weeks or two months and then i go back into being depressed and it only gets worse. golly i hate feeling so dead

The higher rep MA program sounds like a good idea, but keep in mind it might mean adding an extra year or two to your degree - I transfered after I finished my masters to another school, and since I switched subjects slightly, I had a lot of catching up to do and will probably end up taking at least a year longer to finish my PhD than I had planned.

As you obviously have negative experiences with the girl, it’s not really shocker that you be upset about her and your BF being close. Though I think probably more jealous or upset than angry, but since anger is a part of jealously, you should probably be careful about taking it out on BF, since he only has brotherly feelings for her and doesn’t deserve you taking it out on him and he will not appreciate you bashing the girl. My suggestion is that you find some way to calm your emotions (Writing poetry, doing sports, crying, yelling(at some random wall or something, not a person) playing/cuddling with your pet, talking to a sympathetic ear, ect.) and then try to understand your feeling. You should also put yourself in your BF shoes and try to sympathize and understand his feelings. This will help you in expelling your jealousy/anger/or whatever at the relationship your BF and the girl share. If this stuff doesn’t work you can try talking your BF about it, though I warn you he will probably get upset and such.

I am a sopre in high school and have realized that I am a natural leader. For a year now I've had this strong empowering feeling inside me that the marines is right for me. 2 years is a VERY short credit history. Getting a great credit score takes YEARS AND YEARS. You do not simply get a great score JUST beacuse you have not screwed up in the past.

Big time Yay! Tibetan script is beautiful, and although I'm usually against against script or quote tattoos, I'm intensely interested in the ancient languages. It truly is a beautiful script, and 'fire' is a great quote to have for a tattoo. Fire has always been symbolic of purification, and nothing beats purging your soul to make progress towards it. That's a good ideal. I really like it.

Hrm, interesting indeed, but confusing. I guess if you clear up some of the confusion (and only some) quickly, it sounds pretty good. It's a bit disturbing to think of a 12 year-old writing this though! It's good, but I can see some places it could be improved as well. I know you didn't ask for constructive criticism so I'll keep is short, but I would recommend updating and enriching some of the adjectives. It could be made more much more vivid and powerful if you were to say, describe the "mive oven" in more detail. Also, I would add quotation marks to the dialogue to make it easier to read and edit for consistent tenses, as Cie suggested. Great imagination for your age though! Definite potential.

Yes he did have a flawed character on a moral standpoint on a ual scale but this is not the way to judge his views on the political scale especially the Cuban Missile Crisis. He did exactly what Khruschev did not think he would in that he stood up with more vigor and determination than expected and I believe this is what caused the Soviets to back down for the time being and leave Cuba and gave the US a much needed positive action since the botched up Bay of Pigs venture of a year earlier. Will I get Arthritis?

About 8 years ago I fell off a 50 ft roof and landed on my shoulder blade on a wrought iron gate which broke my fall. The force was such that 8 ribs on my left side at the front broke/snapped. They apparently don't try to reset broken ribs so now they are inter-joined, like slotted together. This still causes me pain when I lean forwards for short periods like dull ache which gets worse. Will I get arthritis when I get older? I'm 41 now.

I can't figure out why I like being alone but hate it at the same time?

I'm 25 years old and I've lived a very isolated and lonely life. I had a pretty turbulent childhood having to endure an unstable family life and I had little friends in school because I was picked on regularly. I don't suffer from low self-esteem and I've been told that I'm an attractive person with good qualities (not bragging). I was diagnosed with manic depression last year, but fortunately I don't suffer the severity of the disorder that most individuals do. I rarely have the highs (mania) and I mostly suffer from the lows (depression), but the medication I'm on keeps it in check. I socially withdrawal when I start to suffer symptoms to avoid any sort of damaging behavior or to avoid damaging friendships. I appear normal to everyone else. Anyways, there are days that I absolutely hate being around people. For example, if I go hiking or for a walk I get frustrated and agitated when I see people hiking on the same trails, but other times I don't mind at all. Sometimes I'll walk miles into the woods even when its snowing out just to hear the sound of silence except for the snowfall or the wind blowing past my ears. I absolutely love it. But, there are other times when I'm with my friends and I look at them and see the relationships they have with others and I find myself yearning for that feeling. I don't get it though. I don't understand social relationships. People tend to frustrate me with their ignorance, hate, and constant gossip. I feel like there is no originality left in the world. I've heard and continue to hear the same stories when I try to be social and go to the bars or small social gatherings. I hear the same topics discussed over and over. I can't seem to find interest in any girls that I meet. I feel like most of them are plain and dull. I just see the same thing in all of them . . . Ugg boots, designer jeans (don't get me wrong I like some cl), wearing heels in unnecessary settings, following hideous fashion trends that most men find unattractive, cell phones and constantly texting, gossiping about the same topics, etc. I just want someone that is opposite of mainstream culture. Will a 50-70 lbs weight loss affect a belly on piercing?

My son did the same thing and was sick quite often after eating. He did have reflux - his doctor prescribed medicine that he took 1 x day and he outgrew it. Maybe she can't tolerate the formula, though. I'd mention her vomiting to her pediatrician and see if he/she can suggest a different formula.
