Hyphens (English Grammar)?

Whoever set that question may be unaware or the recent concerted attack upon the hyphen. It was a graphical equivalent of genocide. Previously acceptable hyphens were either omitted or the hyphenated words were elided. I could have answered your question two years ago, but I can't today.
