Neuroscience, religion, cognitive dissonance, and your opinion?

Um.... this is not really a question: it is more of a statement of your beliefs, with a vague asking for an opinion at the beginning... but it really isn't clear exactly what you are asking. I suggest you make another question with a better format - as in "Here is what i believe about x.. and why i believe it (and give some good references). What do you believe about x, and why?".
