Angel Sanctuary Setsuna?

Ok what is with Angel Sanctuary i know Setsuna is the reincarnation of Alexia but is Setsuna all human does he ever learn about his past or get his wings back?It's really confusing with people going after him and his sister and him dating. Just if you can explain a bit of this then much appreciated.
