Is it illegal to take a picture of an unmarked police car and post it online ?

Its legal for you to take a photo of anything. But how do you know that this is a police car? It could be drug dealers, a private investigator, or someone's grandparents. Since you are an expert on police tactics why not knock on their window and tell them what you have written here? Or do you have enough guts?
