How are black baby's names derived? Is using a few letters from their 4 closest relatives the norm?

Umm that was an ugly name. And black mothers tend to name their kids after a someone they loved or a name they came up with themselves. Like the name Santoria. I love the name and I'm most likely going to use it when I have a girl because I CAME UP with it, not because some white lady wanted me to name my child Susie and I rebelled.
