The boy that was found in the supermarket delirious from the cold. Will he regain his senses?

I read that there was this father whose car broke down as he was taking his children to their mother's house. After his car broke down, he forced his son and daughter to walk through a blizzard. They eventually found the daughter dead in the snow and they found the son in a supermarket delirious from the cold. My question is will he be normal again?
